Juli Baecker

With a passion for innovation, a drive for success, and a career that encompasses the growth of the technology industry, Juli has spent the last twenty-three years successfully growing revenue, building relationships, expanding market reach, improving profitability, and leading teams in the technology industry. Juli is a strategic thinker who is able to identify key success indicators and creatively generate new revenue opportunities. She has a strong history of success in cultivating business growth and motivating teams with worldwide responsibility. She is exceptional in identifying and understanding business issues and developing strategies and solutions with a global perspective.Throughout her career, Juli has lead and collaborated on teams working towards a mutual understanding of executing on a plan, with goals and desired outcomes that benefit the team as a whole – company, brand, employees, & stakeholders. Juli has an impeccable reputation of maintaining consistent profitability and is highly respected and acknowledged for operating with honesty & integrity – her experience includes the following markets; Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail, eCommerce, IT, Healthcare, Medical Device, Professional Services, Financial, Government and includes successful client relationships with companies such as IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Nebraska Methodist Health System, The Apparel Group, Easton Bell Sports, Jones NY, Victorinox Swiss Army to name a few. Juli has held key leadership roles and Director level positions and continues to show outstanding achievement and leadership in her ability to develop partnerships, implementing strategic initiatives, in addition to pursuing and seeking early adopters in industries embracing new and emerging technologies. For the past six years Juli has applied her knowledge and skills in a leadership role as a board member for a social service agency helping to combat homelessness in the Minneapolis and surrounding area.

Juli has been elected to the positions of Secretary, Vice Chairman, and Chairman of the Board where she lead a team of 12 board members, 8 staff, and over 4000 volunteers. Juli was also recently elected to the Board of Directors for a non-profit housing developer, also working to combat homelessness in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Juli is a 27 year member of the Bloomington Medalist Concert Band where the mission of this community organization is to inspire young musicians and enhance their appreciation for the fine arts beyond high school. Juli is married with 3 children and resides in Stillwater, MN. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Luther College in Decorah, IA.

Joachim Baecker

Joachim, a dual German/American citizen, brings several decades and a wealth of industry experience in international sales, distribution, project management, import & export logistics, coupled with an additional 10 years of marketing, design and international consulting work assisting European companies in establishing a business presence in North America. Joachim’s primary passion, from years of dedicated multi-faceted experience, focuses on creative problem solving on a variety of scales; from multi-million dollar industrial projects to product design and engineering, service delivery improvements, marketing, sales and cultivating relationships.

In addition, Joachim spent nearly a decade in the entertainment industry, as a musician managed by notables such as Herbert Gart (of Don McLean & Bill Cosby fame), Bill Aucoin (Kiss), and Leber/Krebs Management (Aerosmith). Joachim’s band toured across the country and performed in Europe. The band was recognized in Rolling Stone Magazine and had its music featured in a New Line Cinema major motion picture “Surf Ninjas.” This first-hand experience in the entertainment field augments Joachim’s ability to identify and work with key industry players and uncover future opportunities within the entertainment industry. As Chief Strategy Officer for Winkit, Joachim’s responsibilities include developing new and innovative revenue streams, researching new product markets, maximizing revenue-generating technology, improving service delivery methods and helping establish a profitable, scalable business model that provides true value and service for clients, end users and stakeholders. Joachim is married with three children and resides in Stillwater, MN. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, MN.

Nancy Mattoon

Nancy Mattoon has over 30 years of experience in Operations and IT Management, New Product Development, Sales and Account Management and Marketing Research and new Market Development with Fortune 500 companies as well as new ventures. She has managed and directed large Telecom and Information Services departments with budgetary responsibilities of over 25 million dollars a year and led large client service and call center staffs of over 200 people in the fast paced and exciting industry of Home Shopping. Nancy has extensive experience in many markets including, Education, Retail, Manufacturing, Professional Services and IT in the US and abroad. Her client list includes Microsoft Corporation, IBM, The Pennsylvania State University, Starkey Labs, CH Robinson Worldwide, Microcell Corporation, Nokia and ADC Telecommunications.

Nancy’s passion for Business Process Improvement culminated in an appointment to Sprint’s prestigious New Product Council as well as a leadership role as co-chairman of the Executive’s Initiative on Business Process in Kansas City Missouri where she and her team executed a plan resulting in a $2 million dollar cost savings. Nancy has held manager, director and general manager positions and has been very successful in building quality teams that collaborate and communicate well within their department and the organization as a whole. Over the last 4 years, Nancy has worked in Higher Ed, specifically Distance Education. Nancy has co-authored white papers and has spoken at several prestigious conferences on Higher Education in the Military as well as SloanC and the University Continuing Education Association. “I look at education as currency and as the great leveler—ultimately, it can raise people up from poverty and give them hope for a brighter future.” Nancy has a BA in History and Russian Studies from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN and is currently working on her graduate degree. She lives in Minnetonka, MN and has one daughter currently attending college.
